How Times Have Changed

Looking around, I see how times have changed. You can now talk to anyone in the world at the speed of the dial, get a teaching degree online, work at home jobs that make millionaires, and others. It's truly the information age, a few years just after the space age, and decades after the industrial age.

In fact, I think that working 9 to 5 in an office is now old-fashioned. Something that the soon to be outgoing generation does. Because the new generation of young urban professionals are taking their work outside the cubicle and into the world. And with websites that provides teaching degree online or whatever education you need, it's certainly a fast changing world.

Satellite offices, ecommerce, telecommuting - some of the new corporate jargons that people haven't even heard 10 years ago. And now, they're the staple of every office meeting and video conference.

TV Shopping

I went to circuit city just the other day to buy a new LCD TV and I didn't know there's so many of them already in the market. Not only that, there's a new technology now called LED TV which is supposed to be better than the LCD TV.

A LED TV is actually an LCD television with LED backlighting. In traditional televisions, a cold cathode fluorescent lights (CCFLs) is used. The result of using LED is that now, it's thinner, more efficient in using electricity and there's less heat. Also, it results to a brighter display and better contrast levels.

Now, I'm torn between buying an LCD TV and an LED TV. I haven't done research yet on what is the best LED TV brand out there. So I guess I would have to postpone buying that new television and find out for now which brand has the best LED TV out there.
