I went to circuit city just the other day to buy a new LCD TV and I didn't know there's so many of them already in the market. Not only that, there's a new technology now called LED TV which is supposed to be better than the LCD TV.
A LED TV is actually an LCD television with LED backlighting. In traditional televisions, a cold cathode fluorescent lights (CCFLs) is used. The result of using LED is that now, it's thinner, more efficient in using electricity and there's less heat. Also, it results to a brighter display and better contrast levels.
Now, I'm torn between buying an LCD TV and an LED TV. I haven't done research yet on what is the best LED TV brand out there. So I guess I would have to postpone buying that new television and find out for now which brand has the best LED TV out there.
