If you're looking for ways on how to lose weight fast, then I'd say that burning calories on the treadmill is an option.
But one should not just run and run on the treadmill because there is really a proper way to do it. I've found these out from a personal trainer.
First, do some stretching so you won't cramp and have better flexibility and balance while running.
Second, pace yourself. This means, do some brisk walking first and steadily increase your speed. As you feel that your heartbeats are going faster, then you should run faster too.
Third, do intervals. Run fast, then walk, then run again. Push hard with your speed, then give yourself a recovery period, then push your speed again.
Fourth, have water so you won't get dehydrated.
Last, do it for at least 30 minutes everyday. And complement it with a good balanced diet.
