MMA Event In Manila

I was invited to attend an MMA event a few weeks ago. The organizer was a friend who knows that I am a big UFC fan. It was a VIP event held in a hotel and was not publicized.

The event required all attendees to wear tuxedo jackets for the guys and an evening gown for the ladies. I must say that it was really a very exclusive event. Did you know that the tickets costs P5,000 each?

Anyway, and so I went there and I must say that it was weird. All the people, dressed formally were cheering for blood. Quite chilling actually, but hey, who am I to say this - I was there too and I must admit, I enjoyed watching the MMA event.

I can't really say much about that one night for I think they would want it to be kept that way - exclusive and underground. Would I attend the next time? Maybe not. I guess I'm just okay watching UFC live streams for now.

Cory Aquino Dead | Cory Dies at Age 76. Cory Aquino dies early this morning, at 3:18 AM to be exact. This is no longer a rumor. Yes, it’s confirmed. Former Philippine President Corazon “Cory” C. Aquino passed away early Saturday morning after a long battle with colon cancer. She was 76.

According to a news site:

"At the time of her death, the 76-year-old widow was confined in a private room at the Makati Medical Center’s ninth floor.

Doctors had strongly advised to keep the former President in her hospital room so she could get immediate medical attention after her cancer spread from her colon to the liver, said Noynoy. Aquino’s weakened state made it impossible for her to undergo further chemotherapy."
