In tennis, Rafael Nadal withdraw from the Wimbledon last Friday due to a knee injury he is currently having. The announcement actually did not came as a surprise to the tennis world after he tested for tendinitis at an exhibition game in London from the past few days.
However, the news came as a disappointed to his fans as the Spaniard will be unable to defend his title. In an interview I saw on television, he says:
"It's very painful for me but I cannot play this year."
Nadal said that tests showed he is suffering from fluid on both knees and will need an undetermined period of rest. Nadal becomes the first since Goran Ivanisevic in 2002 not to defend his title.
When is Wimbledon 2009? Wimbledon 2009 will happen on June 22 to July 5.
