American Idol 8 Results Top 3 Elimination 05/13/09

Kara - Unbelievable
Paula - You are "One" American Idol I am staring at now
Simon - That was a brilliant song choice

Judges comments on Cryin’:
Randy - One of the best we’ve ever had on this stage
Kara - How do you hit those notes?
Paula - You’ve the bar so high in the sky
Simon - You deserve it based on talent

Kris Allen sings Apologize by One Republic and Heartless by Kanye West
Judges comments on Apologize:
Randy - We can see what records you can make with this
Kara - Take more chances in your next song
Paula - Bum note there that was loud, I’m so proud of you
Simon - It was competent

Judges comments on Heartless:
Randy - That was better than Fray, better than Kanye!
Kara - Perfect!
Paula - This is what keeps you relevant. Bravo!
Simon - Had written you out, but that’s changed after that performance

Danny Gokey sings Dance Little Sister by Terence Trent D’Arby and You are so Beautiful
Judges comments on Dance Little Sister:
Randy - Let the games begin!
Kara - I did not like the dancing
Paula - You did (dancing) really good
Simon - Toy saxophone solo was not good

Judges comments on You are so Beautiful:
Randy - You can really really really sing
Kara - That was stunning
Paula - It was a beautiful performance
Simon - That was a vocal masterclass
