Me and my friends are planning to go to the beach this Holy Week. We have always chosen one of the beach resorts in Batangas because it's cheaper, nearer and the crowd is smaller - but the ambiance is as clear as those in Boracay, Puerto Galera or even Palawan.
Some of the best resorts are of course, in Laiya, San Juan, Batangas. Here are my favorites:
La Luz Beach Resort
One of the very first. Owned by the Marasigans. They have the best ambiance for lovers.
Sabangan Beach Resort
Most beach resorts in Laiya have food. Luckily, Sabangan doesn't have a mandatory meal for their guests that's why they're one of the best on my list.
Kabayan Beach Resort
The best resort for the big groups and the budget conscious. This is the only resort in Laiya that puts up a Starbucks booth inside their vicinity. One mocha frappe please!

Coke Zero
Coke Zero has recently been launched here in the Philippines. As I've read online, this product has already been released in other countries a few months ago. So why the late launch here in Manila? Hmmm. I don't know.
Anyway, I was hanging out this afternoon at the mall when I heard two girls talking about Coke Zero. They must have saw the can that I was drinking at that time. One girl was asking the other one: "What's with the new Coke Zero?"
"It's a new softdrink that's healthier than Coke Light," the other one answered.
"Why?" the first girl asked again.
To which the second girl replied with, "Because Coke Zero has zero sugar, zero fat, zero calories and zero cholesterol."
After that, I almost choked on my Coke Zero trying to suppress my laughter.
