I can consider my car as an asset because it takes me to my business appointments and I use it to sometimes haul stuff to and fro my shop and the warehouse. That's why I've been thinking lately to install carports at home so that my vehicle would have a nice place to stay.
Of course, the reason is not only aesthetic, but also and more importantly, security and protection. I don't have a garage at home so having a carport will definitely protect my car from the harmful effects of the weather. Furthermore, an enclosed steel garage will make it more secure.
Buying a new car nowadays is really expensive, that's why we have to do our best to preserve what we have. That's why carports can be considered as a good investment to protect one of our most useful possessions in life.
I agree, buying a carport can be very expensive indeed.
