ABC5 signed off today and TV5 Philippines is born.
Last August 7, in a grand press launch. TV5 publicly announced its new set of programs that will be launched through a television special entitled, I-Shake Mo TV Mo!
Here's a short video of the first few minutes of TV5 on air.
The event was hosted by Ryan Agoncillo which will anchor Talentadong Pinoy and Alex Gonzaga who will lead the TV5 entertainment talk show program Juicy.
The other stars who showed up that evening includes Bayani Agbayani, Iya Villania, BJ Forbes, Bernard Palanca, Dominic Ochoa, Sam Concepcion, Reema Chanco, Brazilian babes Ariana Barouk and Daiana Menezes, Jomari Yllana, ex-cager Jason Webb, Ateneo de Manila Blue Eagles head coach Norman Black, Regine Tolentino, Carlo Aquino and Lucy Torres-Gomez, among many others.
The UP Pep Squad danced with Regine Tolentino drawing ooh's and aah's from everyone inside the venue while Shall We Dance dive, Lucy Torres-Gomez wrapped up the evening's presentation.
Novelty songwriter, Lito Camo, composed the official station jingle, "Shake Mo, TV Mo"
TV5 is broadcasting 24 hours a day with its brand new 120kw transmitter and can be seen as far as San Jose, Cabanatuan in the north.
What's in store for us Filipino television viewers? I guess it's more variety, more choices and better entertainment. Congratulations TV5 Philippines! Shake our world!
