My Thoughts On The Olympic Ceremony

A lot of people were really amazed about the 2008 Beijing Olympics Opening Ceremonies. They became spectacled with the fireworks display and became enchanted by the voice of the cute Chinese girl who sang during the ceremony.

Little did everyone know that in a few days, the Chinese community will be held under intrigue because of these unreal performances. Yes, most of the fireworks display are digital and pre-recorded and the Chinese girl's voice was not hers.

The Chinese Olympic committee defended their side but most of the press were unimpressed with their reasons. Personally, I think that it doesn't really matter. What's important is that we make every Olympic event as an opportunity to forge unity among other nations.

Let's all be forgiving of these shortcomings, they were done under the pretense of good intentions anyway. And concentrate more on how we can make this Olympic a true memorable global experience for everyone.
