Veteran comedienne Zorayda Sanchez has passed away on Wednesday, August 27, due to cancer. Her wake will be in Angono, Rizal.
For the youth who probably don't know who Miss Zorayda Sanchez is. You should know that she was a mainstay in Goin’ Bananas alongside Christopher de Leon, Jay Ilagan (RIP), Johnny Delgado, Edgar Mortiz, and Al Tantay. She was one of the leading female actresses in the show, along with Whitney Tyson. She has also appeared in movies like Petrang Kabayo, Takot Ako, Working Girls, and Bagets.
Miss Zorayda Sanchez, after her showbiz career, became a writer for the Manila Bulletin.
Truly, the Philippines will miss such a talent. I send my condolences to her loved ones. Thank you for making us all laugh. Goodbye Miss Zorayda Sanchez. :(
