The main batch of athletes and officials for Team Philippines will leave on Aug 5. They will be Harry Tañamor, Marestella Torres, Henry Dagmil, Shiela Mae Perez, Rexel Ryan Fabriga, Daniel Coakley, Ryan Paolo Arabejo, Miguel Molina, James Walsh, Joan Christel Simms and Hidilyn Diaz. They will board a Philippine Airlines flight with Bacolod Rep. Monico Puentevella as well as Olympic attache Arturo Macapagal.
Special Olympic envoy and flag-bearer Manny Pacquiao will leave with his wife Jinkee and no other than President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo on Aug 7. Together with this flight are First Gentleman Jose Miguel "Mike" Arroyo, Philippine Olympic Committee president Jose "Peping" Cojuangco Jr., Philippine Sports Commission chair William "Butch" Ramirez and Sen. Gregorio "Gringo" Honasan.
Mark Javier and Eric Ang are leaving on Thursday, July 31st, together with coaches James Chua and Jennifer Chan. On Aug 11, Marie Antoinette Rivero and Tshomlee Go will go to Beijing with coaches Raul Samson and Kim Hong Sik.
