Mendiola Blast

A friend of mine who is a paramedic recently told me that at least seventeen people were hurt after a grenade explosion occurred in front of the La Consolacion College near Malacañang in Manila, yesterday afternoon.

He responded to the emergency call about the blast around 4:30 p.m. which occurred at Laurel Street in Mendiola near the sentry gate of the Presidential Security Group.

Most of the victims were brought to the Manila Doctors Hospital and University of Sto. Tomas Medical Center.

According to the reports from the Manila Police District which my friend received, the blast took place under a Honda CRV with plate number XDB-530 in front of the exclusive school beside Malacañang.

I think that is a futile attempt to terrorize the Holy Week of Pinoys. I pray for the forgiveness of the souls of the perpetrators of this crime.
