No Thanks

I was walking around the mall yesterday when I decided to go to the food court and grab myself some snacks. So there I was, after a few moments, eating a cheeseburger, silently enjoying my meal.

Then I noticed two girls in front of me having an animated conversation. I can't really tell what they were talking about but from arm gestures and facial expressions, it must have been some exciting experience.

And then I saw the wallet of one of the girls fall from her pocket to the floor. I tried not to call the attention of the girls immediately because I was hoping that they'd notice soon. I'll just watch over the wallet so that nobody will pick it up.

But then, minutes passed and the girls were getting ready to leave. So I finally called their attention and told one of the girls that her wallet fell. They had confused reactions to what I said. So I pointed to the floor and the girl suddenly realized what I was saying.

She grabbed the wallet and immediately walked away with her friend.

What the?!

She didn't even say thank you. If someone from Woodrose Academy in Alabang is reading this, please teach your students some sense of gratitude.
